Open Dots is an open-source, self-hosted system for running coding agent tasks from Telegram or a web browser, so credentials stay on infrastructure the user controls. One backend serves both the Telegram and web interface, and guest sessions work without Telegram. File writes, shell commands and git pushes pause for an allow-once, always-allow or deny decision. GitHub device-flow login ties tasks to the user's own account, so pushes are made as that user. Prompts can become hourly, daily or weekly cron jobs with results delivered back automatically, and each task runs in its own disposable sandbox so state and secrets never carry over. OAuth tokens and GitHub credentials are encrypted at rest, with key rotation in the storage layer. The project is prototype-stage and under active development.
